Bio Clinica Anti-Wrinkle Cream Review

I enter a fair few competitions on line and recently went in for one on Loved By Laura.  Laura’s a bit of a gourmet queen and her post ‘4 Things You Can Do In Blogger That I Wish I'd Known Sooner’ was ridiculously helpful. Snazzy photos too, you should check them out.

The prize was a Bio Clinica anti-wrinkle cream from Tower Health (£9.95).  As it’s coincidentally coming up to a rather big birthday in a year or so, I thought there’s no harm in entering and then I won - Yay me!  When it arrived the accompanying letter advised a review was expected - well seeing as you asked so nicely!  Luckily I live for this sort of thing and was planning a review anyway, so it’s all good.

Now I’m a massive girl when it comes to packaging and so that the box was a little damaged was a tad disappointing, but no matter I opened the pot and took a big whiff.

My Aunt.

This is what it reminded me of. Not an unpleasant smell from what I remember (we don’t see her anymore, while she smelt nice, she had a tongue that could cut diamonds!) It did however come across a little mature and rather more perfume-y than I’d hoped for. When asking about this a Tower Health rep, who got back to me super-fast, advised “This product does have parfum listed in its ingredients so will be fragranced”. Fair point!

Oddly, the pot seemed to come away from the plastic (not glass) container quite easily and I wasn’t sure if this was an error or by design.  Again Tower Health confirmed “The white section isn’t meant to come out of the plastic part but I have just opened one and the same thing happened. I will mention this to the manufacturers” Hoorah! One for product users unwilling to put up with less than awesome packaging all over the world I’m practically Erin Brockovich!

As someone likely to break out in a rash if I even hear the word ‘chemicals’ I was a little trepidacious to slap it on. - Look I know that’s not technically a word but I like it and it sums up my feelings so it stays, alright there grammar Nazi types?

But slap it on I did and was pleasantly surprised at the luxurious feel.  The cream soaked into my skin within seconds and it does leave you feeling naturally soft. I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks and not had any negative reactions, my new friend at Tower Health advised “It also states it is suitable for ALL skin types”.  A statement which I would agree with.

That said, I think I'm going to test it on skin that’s slightly more resilient than my face and neck.  Come the end of summer I’ll have the softest, most wrinkle free feet in all of Cambridgeshire!

Please Note: As is my style this review is a little tongue-in-cheek I am not advising you actually use it on your feet.... nor do I think Erin Brockovich helped the world get nicer beauty product pots, it was something to do with shoes, right?

Haha I love this Alice - I couldn't think how to describe the smell - not sure if it's my aunt, she lives too far away so I can neither confirm nor deny! xx

Am quite sensitive myself but it's been fine for me and the label advises suits all. Let me know how you get on.
